Project SHARK

Stable water-resistant anti-reflective coatings on complex substrates to improve energy efficiency

Porous MgF2 layers can effectively anti-reflect optical surfaces. Their wet-chemical application on complexly shaped surfaces for architectural glazing is challenging, corresponding technologies are being developed in this project. The increase of environmental stability and the coating of polymer surfaces are further objectives.
