Inorganic Encapsulation Materials

For many applications, functional particles must be incorporated into a matrix material. For example, silicones in blue-emitting LEDs fix phosphor particles that convert this radiation into white light. Hybrid polymers (ORMOCER®s) and inorganic formulations can exhibit better properties than silicones in terms of temperature resistance and radiation stability. The matrix materials can be flexibly optimized for the desired application and adapted to the particles used.
